Spring has sprung and we bet a lot of you have great ideas for community projects in the sunny months ahead. We wanted to take a moment and highlight the Vancouver Foundation’s Neighbourhood Small Grants Program. The intent is to support and strengthen connection in our neighbourhoods and that means they’re willing to fund a wide variety of ideas. Anything from $50 to $500 toward an activity or project that would foster meaningful connections. A knitting circle, a bike parade, a leap frog contest, a block party, a garden planting, a bake sale, a beer brewing and on and on. (Do let us know if you need any FrogBox moving boxes to facilitate your project!) Check their web page for ideas and to apply online. Oh, and the deadline is April 1st, so get hopping!
