If you are anything like me, waking up on a mid-June day only to look out the window and still see umbrellas and jackets probably bums you out. Just because you can’t throw on that swimsuit that’s been gathering dust and strut down Kits Beach, doesn’t mean that you can’t make the most of this JUNEUARY. At FROGBOX we are not only here to provide you with convenient, affordable and eco-friendly moving boxes, but also tips on how to keep a smile on that face – even on the dampest of days.

There is more to do in our beautiful city on a rainy day than sit inside and sulk. So I have compiled a list of awesome activities (awesometivities?!) to help you get the most fun out of this non-Summer. Some of these you may think, “I am definitely too old for that”. Wrong. Try taking part in any one of these things without smiling, laughing, or being amazed. I dare you!

1. Go bowling –The Varsity Ridge bowling alley, one of Vancouver’s oldest lanes is set to be demolished in about a year’s time. Head down, crack a beer and throw some strikes while you still can.
2. Go get a canvas (preferably something reused) and some paints. Add wine, and get creative!
3. Go swimming – Have a dip at the Aquatic Centre or UBC pool
4. Go to Science World
5. Go to the Aquarium – The African penguins have arrived and don’t forget to pay a visit to the frogs!
6. Go play Laser Tag
7. Go to the Indoor Beach – Ok, you really need the beach? Check out 6 Pack Indoor beach in Richmond.
8. Go to Value Village or The Salvation Army with a group of friends. With a limit of $20, select a wardrobe for another friend to wear. Then have yourself a “Wicked Wardrobe” dinner party.
9. Go play a board game – bust out some of the classics. You’ll be surprised how much fun it still is to play a round of Monopoly.
10. Go Volunteer – There are always places that need an extra pair of hands. Try something new and score some good karma while you’re at it.

Please share with us some of your favorite rainy day pass times! We hope this put a bit more of a HOP in your step.
